Voting is now open for the December contest albums through January 7. Remember to judge each photo full-size and not by its thumbnail alone. You should cast exactly three votes in each category. Please review the Voting Guidelines if you have not done so already OR if you have not done so for some time.

Also, I have fixed the background color issue on comments making them more readable. As always, photo comments are greatly appreciated.

January Subject: Water

Submitted by DonPicard on Wed, 12/15/2010 - 21:33

The Earth's surface is two-thirds water and us ISOBAP photographers are 80% water. So let's make January's topic "water." In any or all of its forms: liquid, ice or steam.

Update: Two photos were added to the category album after it had been closed to uploads. I had been working for a few days to resolve an upload issue for a member, so I felt it was fair to enter them once the issue was resolved.

Thank you John (bain63) for your write-up of how your entry into this month's contest was taken. I think it's a great idea for members to write about how their photos came to be.

December Topic: Tripod

Whenever taking shots in low light or portraits it's important to keep the camera stlll. Obviously the best way is to use a tripod but if you dont have a tripod, a garden wall, fence post or table can do the job. So the challenge this month is to make photographs with a steady camera, extra points if the tripod is used to good effect.
